What to Expect at a Wedding Expo or Bridal Show?

When a wedding couple comes to a bridal show or wedding expo doing this you will be entering into a drawing for free prizes during the day. Make sure you listen to all the announcements so you can hear your name. You will go to the registration table and show the proof of a ticket bought or you can buy them there for cash. The staff members will most likely give you a bag to hold all of the pertinent papers and gifts from the wedding professionals. Most of the time there will be lobby booths to entertain you while waiting to go meet and greet the wedding professionals in the main ballroom.

As a wedding couple, you can meet and greet wedding professionals to help you plan your wedding day. You can meet them one on one to see if they fit your vision of your big day. Most of the time wedding vendors will have a day of show special, meaning that you could possibly get a discount on their services if you book them at the show. So remember to bring a credit card for down payments for any vendor you may like and feel attached to. Wedding professionals also like to give away small items to attract visitors at their booth so make sure you visit every one of them to grab your prize and fill up your wedding swag bag.

While you are strolling along don’t forget to take advantage of the scrumptious food by area caterers and wedding bakers. You can sample small treats and sometimes even small drinks as well. Hair and Makeup or spa professionals will sometimes offer treatments right then and there for those that want to partake in that arena.

At some point, most bridal shows offer a fashion show or entertainment spotlight. You can see some of the most beautiful wedding gowns, mother of the bride dresses, or bridesmaid dresses, and even gentleman attire. Be sure to remember the name of the bridal boutique so you can make an appointment with them later to buy a gown. Usually, at the fashion show, you will be entertained by the resident DJ. He will emcee the whole show for you and help give away prizes. You can get a great feel for their personality. This is an excellent time to check out if you would like that DJ to host your wedding.

Lastly, come the prizes. Usually, wedding professionals are very generous in giving prizes to auction off. The prizes range from wedding basket favors to grand prize honeymoons. Don’t leave early. You will usually have a great chance of winning a prize.

After the fun is all done and you are home. Remember to look into your wedding swag bag and pull the information out of your bag that you may want to save for later or put aside from your favorite vendor.

All in all wedding expos are a great way to spend the afternoon with your friends and family. The shows are fun for all the attendees. It also supports local small businesses that are there to exhibit their business.

After relocation to the Florida Space Coast in 2019 from South Carolina where I provided my services as a wedding DJ, I was a little overwhelmed about where I would obtain new clients. Sure, I did my research and started marketing to the area event facilities, event planners, hotels and just about everywhere I could think of to promote my business. During this research, I found The Xpos. I knew from the first moment that I spoke with Monica that this was a professional company that was providing quality Bridal Shows throughout Florida. It was not a hard decision to book my first show with them. It was held in July at the new Hard Rock Hotel in Daytona Beach. From the very minute I drove up to the hotel and saw the The XPOS staff helping to unload vendors, I could tell that this was not your average bridal show. They had a vendor sign in location and were very helpful showing me to my booth and providing everything I needed for a successful show. The doors opened and I was so impressed with the amount of potential clients that walked in. These were quality Brides looking for my services. In the 25 years of doing bridal shows, I never have booked more events at one show than this one! I took 3 deposits at the show and then booked another 3 a few days later after Monica and Jon sent the entire attendance list. I booked a total of 6 weddings and am still getting contacted by potential brides that were at that show. Needless to say I am very happy with this experience and am looking forward to my next XPOS Bridal Show in March!
